Rustic design took on an elevated new identity in this beautifully layered wedding at The Admiral’s House, where warm wood tones, textured fabrics, and lush greenery created a celebration that felt equal parts relaxed and refined. Surrounded by sweeping waterfront views and timeless architecture, the event embraced natural materials and understated elegance to craft an atmosphere that was welcoming, romantic, and effortlessly chic.
Planned and designed by Simply by Tamara Nicole, the wedding leaned into softness and texture rather than excess — allowing the venue’s beauty and thoughtful details to do the talking.
A Tent Framed by Light & Greenery
The celebration unfolded beneath a graceful Pole Draped Frame Tent, softened with flowing fabric draping that added movement and elegance throughout the open-air space. Overhead, White Café Drop String Lights cast a warm, romantic glow that carried the celebration seamlessly from sunny afternoon into candlelit evening.
Swooping greenery installations and ivory floral arrangements tied the tent beautifully into the surrounding landscape, bringing the natural beauty of the venue directly into the design. The effect felt organic and polished all at once — rustic without ever feeling heavy.
Natural Texture Meets Refined Tabletop Design
Dining spaces featured a thoughtful mix of Vineyard Tables and elegant King’s Banquet Tables, creating a layered reception layout that encouraged both intimacy and flow.
Guests were seated in timeless Vineyard Cross Back Chairs, their warm wood finish complementing the surrounding greenery and soft neutral palette.
Tabletops embraced subtle texture and tonal layering. Crisp Ivory Panama Linens paired beautifully with Matte Stoneware Linen accents, while delicate Hemstitch Napkins added a refined finishing touch.
Place settings were completed with the sleek, contemporary lines of the Urban Slate Flatware Collection — a modern contrast to the softer textures layered throughout the design.
Dancing Beneath the Glow
At the center of the reception, a warm-toned Birch Dance Floor invited guests to celebrate late into the evening beneath the glow of café lights and cascading greenery overhead.
Catering by Blue Ribbon Cooking, desserts from Honey Crumb Cake Studio, and paper goods by The Fancy Cat Studio completed the experience with thoughtful detail and elevated hospitality.
